Hanoch Livneh, PhD, CRC, NCC, LPC, is a professor in the Counselor Education program and coordinator of the rehabilitation specialty at Portland State University. He is the author of several articles and book chapters dealing with psychosocial adaptation to disability and attitudes toward people with disabilities.
Susan Butterworth is associate professor in the OHSU School of Nursing and the director of OHSU Health Management Services. Dr. Butterworth received her doctoral degree in adult education and training with a health promotion cognate from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is part of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers and has incorporated the MI approach into the health promotion and disease management practice that she oversees. Recently, Dr. Butterworth was invited to present on motivational interviewing at the World Congress of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies in Kobe, Japan.
