Continuing Education helps busy professionals throughout the region meet their ongoing professional development needs providing distance and online learning courses that fit scheduling and geographic needs. These courses and programs are offered through various modes depending upon the content, student needs, the resources available, and the faculty member's preference: face-to-face at an off-site location, correspondence, video conferencing, web-supported, or completely online. We also provide services to distance students, such as technology support and electronic access to library resources.
If you are planning on taking an online course, you may want to make sure that you have the technical experience and skills that will make this a successful experience. You may want to try this survey that describes the variety of technological expertise expected of students in distance education programs. Students may not be required to use all of these skills. However, those items in "bold" print represent the minimal skill levels required for most distance education studies.
