Work on portfolio entry components, using your own curriculum and school community.
Participate in five monthly meetings at Portland State University to assist you in pursuing certification.
Each monthly meeting will have several foci:
October: "Open the box", getting started, organization, making good choices, and standards-based discussion
November: Your issues, the timeline, characteristics of an entry, student assessment and learning, specific entries, and video planning
December: Your issues; the timeline; the elements that are being assessed and developing proof; descriptive, analytical, and reflective writing, and demonstration of depth of practice
January: Your issues, the timeline, reading each other's writing, reflection discussion of the assessment center and format
February: Your issues, the timeline, format, finishing touches, and packing "the box"
March: Reflection and preparing for the assessment center
