Course requirements for credit
Participants can earn 1 graduate (CI 810) credit upon satisfactory completion of the symposium and online follow-up sessions. This credit option is offered through Portland State University’s Graduate School of Education, Curriculum and Instruction Department. Those who do not require credit may select the non-credit option.

Attendance and participation will be monitored by the instructor of record. Students will participate in a WebCT/Blackboard discussion to identify the parts of the symposium that would be most useful for individual teachers. Participants will be expected to post a minimum of 8 times for full credit.
Students will propose a final project that must be approved by the instructor. Projects can be a revision of classroom instruction, a school program, and so on. Projects will be PowerPoint presentations and posted on the web. Examples will be provided on the web.
