The Initial K-12 Teaching License in Library Media program includes educational media and education coursework to prepare you to be a K-12 library media specialist. The program culminates in a part- and full-time student teaching experience in a library media center. Recommendation for the initial license is made to Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) upon successful completion of this program and receipt of passing scores on the Library Media Praxis Exam. This license enables you to be a K-12 library media specialist but not a classroom teacher.
