Selection criteria

1. Proven leadership potential as validated through administrator recommendation
2. Good communication and interpersonal skills as determined through an interviewing process
3. Strong work ethic and dedication to the field of education
4. School and district support for participation in the form of a recommendation letter and two days of substitute time
5. Essay that addresses the above criteria as well as incorporates the goals and mission of the Graduate School of Education

Application process
Please download the following admission forms to apply and visit the Registration link for more information.  These documents can also be used to apply to the Portland State University Initial Administrator License Program. This course, if taken for credit, serves as prerequisite to the Initial Administrator License Program.

Application packet
The application packet should include the following documents:

1. A nomination letter from an administrator in your district supporting your eligibility for this program
2. A personal goal statement addressing the Graduate School of Education conceptual framework
3. Three references
