This certificate program was designed by the Curriculum Advisory Committee of Oregon's Early Childhood Mental Health (ECMH) Consortium. The Northwest Early Childhood Institute has been integral to the establishment of this program.
The ECMH Consortium is an interprofessional education, training, research, and practice improvement entity aimed at improving the abilities of families, of those who work with very young children, and of other partners to support and strengthen the emotional and relational development of children birth through preschool. It effectively engages the pediatric and public health communities to ensure their partnership with the social service, education, and mental health communities in addressing psychosocial development from a holistic perspective.
