The PSU Early Childhood Training Center (ECTC) provides training, technical assistance, research, and evaluation services to Head Start and other human service programs in the Pacific Northwest, nationally, and internationally. Started in 1965, it provides a variety of consultation, course work and program design, and implementation services.
ECTC works with a wide range of organizations, including:
- Federal government agencies
- School districts
- Head Start/Early Head Start
- Oregon Department of Education
- Health departments
- Community action
- Higher education institutions
- Libraries
- Child care resource and referral agencies
- National professional development organizations

ECTC services are directed to managers and supervisors, early childhood providers, family services providers, disability service providers, infant and toddler service providers, and others who serve or manage programs for young children, youth, and their families.
