The Portland State University Continuing Administrator License (CAL) is a postmaster's degree licensure program. Recommendation for the Continuing Administrator License is made upon the successful completion of an approved Basic/Initial administrator licensure program (24 credits) plus the 28-credit CAL and three years of successful school administration experience. It is possible to waive program courses based on past experience and study. However, the credit requirement must still be met. A district-level perspective is emphasized in this curriculum. Modifications to this program may be made as a result of changes in Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) regulations.
