No vote of confidence in leadership
According to the National Leadership Index for 2006, a ranking of the public’s confidence in the leadership of the 11 major sectors of society, about 70 percent of people believe there is a leadership crisis in the United States today. Americans say they have more than a moderate amount of confidence in only two of the 11 sectors—the military and medicine—with nonprofit and charitable leadership ranking a distant third.
