Applications are accepted throughout the year. For therapists wishing to begin the certificate program in September and/or complete the program in one year, applications can be submitted beginning April 1.

  1. There is no application or admission process for professionals taking an individual workshop or course.
  2. For mental health therapists who want to earn the Postgraduate Training Certificate and be listed in the Oregon Directory, an application is required.
  3. The postgraduate training certificate is available for mental health therapists only. However, all courses and workshops are open to child welfare professionals for CEU hours unless otherwise listed.

Applicants to the certificate program must have a master’s degree in a mental health field such as psychology, social work, or counseling.  Preference is given to applicants who are licensed, or in supervision towards licensure, by a state licensing board or an accrediting professional body such as the National Association of Social Workers, National Board of Certified Counselors, or American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Applicants are evaluated on the basis of their academic background, practical experience in the field, and personal qualifications appropriate for effective application of the program studies.

Download admission requirements and an application packet.

An administrative fee of $150 is due upon acceptance in the program.
