Continuing Education (CEED) in Portland State University's Graduate School of Education provides high-quality professional development and graduate-level programs for teachers, school administrators, counselors, adult trainers, and human service professionals.

Teacher education
CEED has an extensive list of educator training programs (preK-20) that include early childhood education through high school. We have courses that cover education topics from initial teacher licensure, to specialty areas in infant/toddler mental health, special education and autism, ESL/bilingual, school administration, reading, and library media.

Counselor education
Our counselor education and human service offerings are developed in concert with the greater Oregon counseling community to address current relevant issues. Courses and programs include addictions, behavioral health, school counseling, adoptive family therapy, clinical supervision, and interpersonal neurobiology.

Adult training programs
Our long-standing adult education programs provide unique opportunities for workplace trainers and managers to build new skills to enhance workforce capacity.

Consulting services
Continuing Education also offers consulting services through three centers: the Center for Student Success, the Early Childhood Training Center, and the Center for Healthy Inclusive Parenting are committed to capacity building in schools and organizations that serve children, families and parents.

Continuing Education is located in the Graduate School of Education at Portland State University. CEED offers 1500 classes at night, on weekends, and partially and fully online to accommodate working professionals.
